Year 8 History

Students wrapped up their Semester One History lessons by learning about the legacy of Feudal Japan. Students were encouraged to research one aspect of Feudal Japan such as Kimino, tea ceremony, kites, origami, Kubo/Noh theatre and Haiku.

Students were encouraged to present their research in a creative way. Students should be proud of their achievements and for making learning come alive in History. 8D students were treated to learning and participating in a tea ceremony, designing Japanese kites, with Koi as an important symbol in Japan. We learnt about Japanese Ningyo (dolls). Students taught us how to fold an origami Ningyo.
