BBSSSA SWIMMING CARNIVAL 2022 - Mercy Catholic College Chatswood

A group of 20 swimmers represented Mercy at the BBSSSA Swimming Championships on Monday 21 March at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

The first event of the carnival was the 4x50m freestyle relay where the Mercy Intermediate relay team came a very exciting, close second to Brigidine College. An incredible effort achieved by Julia K, Charlize G, Isabella F and Dominika K.

The Mercy Junior 4x50m Freestyle relay team came fourth. This team was represented by Anni T, Trinity B, Maya D and Jessica A. These girls also achieved a fourth place in the 4x50m Medley relay. Well done girls!

Congratulations to three of our Mercy swimmers – Anni T, Dominika K and Julia K for their selection to the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges Swimming Championships to be held on 6 April at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

Anni T came first in the 14 Girls age group for 50m Backstroke.

Dominika K achieved four first places in the 15 Girls age group for 50m Backstroke, 100m Freestyle, 50m Freestyle and the 50m Butterfly. She broke the record in the 50m Butterfly with a new time of 28.59 seconds. What an awesome achievement.

Julia K came first in the 16 Girls age group for 50m Freestyle as well as second place in the 100m Freestyle and the 50m Backstroke.
