Inside our Classroom
Pathways & Partnerships

At Mercy Catholic College, our students benefit from access to the CSBB Pathways and Partnerships Program, an innovative initiative led by Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB). This program is designed to support students as they explore, develop and plan their future study and career pathways throughout their secondary schooling years.

The program connects classroom learning with real-world opportunities through a wide range of engaging experiences. These include industry immersion days, enterprise projects, mentoring opportunities, university and TAFE visits, workplace learning, and human capability development workshops. Many of these experiences are delivered in collaboration with industry professionals, tertiary education providers, and community organisations.

By gradually building career awareness in Years 7–8, strengthening career exploration and decision-making in Years 9–10, and supporting personalised pathway planning in Years 11–12, the program ensures that every Mercy student is equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence to thrive beyond school.

This whole-school approach also develops students’ human capabilities—such as creativity, collaboration, problem solving and communication—which are increasingly valued by employers and essential for success in a rapidly changing world.

The CSBB Pathways and Partnerships Program reflects our commitment to empowering students to make informed and purposeful choices about their future, and to see the possibilities ahead of them with curiosity, courage and confidence.
