The 2026 Mercy Swimming Carnival delivered an unforgettable day of talent, teamwork and House spirit at Lane Cove Pool. From the opening race to the nail-biting final relay, the atmosphere was electric, with cheers echoing around the stands and swimmers giving their all in every event.
A special congratulations goes to McQuoin House, who staged a remarkable late surge to secure a narrow overall victory. Their determination and collective effort created a thrilling finish that set an exciting tone for the year ahead.
The carnival also featured outstanding individual achievements. Makenzi Gartner and Alesha Mulyatmojo delivered exceptional performances, breaking multiple records and showcasing admirable focus and dedication.

The day was a vibrant celebration of participation, House pride and community spirit. With such strong performances and enthusiastic support throughout the event, the carnival served as an inspiring launch to this year’s House Competition. Mercy spirit was truly on display from start to finish. Our MCC Swimming Squad that trains weekly at Fitness First in Chatswood continues to rise early and shine in the pool. The squad trained hard for the Swimming Carnival with many members achieving excellent results and PBs at the carnival. Well done, girls!
