Mercy Catholic College was proud to host our 2026 Careers & Pathways EXPO, which attracted an outstanding turnout of students, parents and carers from across the College community.
With more than 40 exhibitors representing universities, training providers, apprenticeship and traineeship organisations, industry partners, employers and community organisations, the EXPO provided students with valuable opportunities to explore future pathways and engage directly with professionals from a wide range of fields.
The event formed an important part of the Year 10 subject selection process, helping students and their families make informed decisions about senior study options and future career pathways. It was particularly pleasing to see such strong engagement from our Year 10 and Year 11 students as they begin planning for life beyond school and considering the pathways that best align with their interests, strengths and aspirations.
Throughout the afternoon, students attended presentations from universities, training providers and industry representatives, gaining valuable insights into courses, emerging industries, apprenticeships, employment opportunities and post-school pathways.
Due to the wet weather, the EXPO was relocated indoors at short notice rather than being held on the Mercy netball courts as planned.
We thank our exhibitors, students, parents and staff for their patience, flexibility and understanding, which helped ensure a successful event despite the challenging conditions.
The success of the EXPO would not have been possible without the support of our exhibitors, presenters, families, staff and student helpers.
Together, they helped create meaningful conversations, valuable connections and authentic learning opportunities that will assist students as they navigate important decisions about their futures.It was also wonderful to see so many students from our younger year groups attending the EXPO, already showing curiosity about their futures and exploring the many opportunities available to them.
The future is certainly bright!
