Wellbeing

Our wellbeing approach is grounded in the Mercy values of Respect, Compassion, Integrity, Excellence and Hospitality. These values guide the way we learn, build relationships and contribute to our community.

A key feature of our pastoral care structure is the daily Mentor Group program, which provides every student with a strong sense of connection and belonging. Mentor Groups create opportunities for prayer and reflection, pastoral support, personal growth and meaningful relationships with both peers and staff. Through these daily connections, students are supported by trusted adults who know them well and can guide them throughout their secondary school journey.

Our wellbeing programs are designed to educate, empower and inspire young women to flourish as confident, resilient and compassionate individuals. We work in partnership with families to support students’ wellbeing and encourage them to become active contributors to their school and wider community.

Students also belong to one of four Mercy Houses – Coolock, McQuoin, McAuley and Stormanston. House membership promotes school spirit, leadership, participation and connection, while celebrating the rich heritage of Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy.

At Mercy, wellbeing is more than a program. It is a shared commitment to ensuring every student feels safe, supported, connected and empowered to become the very best version of herself.
