Shadow Stories

Over the past couple of months Year 9 and 10 Visual Arts students, have had the exciting opportunity to work with practicing local artist Tianli Zu to create stories of self using paper and ink, light and shadow. Tianli Zu is an internationally recognised artist who creates large-scale paper cut installations such as I Dance with You which will feature in the forthcoming Vivid Sydney at Chatswood Festival. The students have had the opportunity to see her work, engage with her practice and be mentored by her. The culmination of their experience will be to create an exhibition Shadow Stories, which will be held in the Foyer Exhibition Space of Willoughby City Council Chambers.

This project has been made possible through a grant from the Willoughby City Council and the school acknowledges their contribution to making this project possible.

The exhibition will be on display in the Foyer Exhibition Space of the Willoughby City Council from May 29 – June 21, open during business hours. An official opening will be held on Wednesday 29 May from 4.00 – 5.30pm.
