Congratulations to the students in the String Ensemble who performed with students from St Pius X College in the St Pius X twilight concert last Friday night. The concert was the culmination of a two month collaborative project between Pius and Mercy string ensembles.

Many before school rehearsals took place as students embarked on the learning of music from the wonderful Haydn ‘Symphony in G major’ and a string arrangement of ‘Clocks’ by Coldplay. Such collaboration was the first of its kind between the two schools. 

A big thank you is extended to Ms Tracey Bates and her team from the Performing arts department at St Pius for allowing our students the opportunity to work with their senior strings and experience the fun of playing together in such a large musical ensemble.
