Father's Day Breakfast

2 September 2016

On Friday September 2, a celebratory breakfast was organised by the P&F Committee to honour our MCC Dads.

The morning provided fathers with an avenue to be involved at school.  It was also a wonderful opportunity for the fathers to gather and connect within our school community. The school was buzzing with excitement about the presence of so many fathers in attendance and the students were so proud to be able to share this special time with their dads at school.

The morning also included a formal welcome and a thought provoking reflection on the role of fatherhood by Mark Cuttler (Year 8 Co-ordinator & PDHPE Co-ordinator). Mr Cuttler’s speech concluded with a thoughtful message about what he loves about teaching here at the College “.. these students have taught me that being a father is essentially what teaching is all about. Whether we like it or not, we are all teachers.” To read Mr Cuttler’s full speech please click here.

We would like to thank our dedicated P&F Committee who organised such a successful morning, the volunteer Mums and students who worked so hard to set up, decorate and then prepare the food, and those families who attended.

We look forward to seeing even more families attend next year.
